Composing Chaos: Metaphor & Abstraction is the seventh volume in Utah Valley University’s Department of Art & Design fine art book series. Taking Wassily Kandinsky’s Concerning the Spiritual in Art as its point of departure, the book gathers work exploring abstraction and metaphor, accompanied by an original composition from the Department of Music.

My contribution, Discomposure, approaches the topic by unfamiliarizing the body, transforming the interior experience of autoimmune disease into visual metaphor.
